Light and Portable

So small, so easy, the Canon Powershot A460 is perfect for travelers who don't want to worry about lugging around a big camera. It'll slide into a pocket or backpack and be ready to snap away when you need. It takes AA batteries, making it easy to acquire more power when you're out and about, and thanks to it's rather tiny price tag, you won't feel too bad if you end up losing it somewhere along the way.

Rugged and Durable

Unstoppable. That's the only way to describe the Olympus Stylus 1030SW. You can't crush it, you can't freeze it, you can't drown it (it's waterproof up to depths of 33ft), you can't smash it (it can withstand a 6ft fall without issue). This is tailor made for travelers who are going to be getting into extreme situations. On top of all that, it's a remarkably stylish looking ultracompact camera with an excellent 10-megapixel sensor.

Powerful and Pleasing

The D60 is the latest digital SLR from Nikon, who have been trying their hardest to make advanced and professional-level photography accessible to average users. The D60 is an easy to use, high-powered dSLR that will provide exceptionally stunning photos. Once you get a little familiar with the many features and functions, that is. There's still a learning curve here, even if it is relatively approachable. You'll have to learn about what lenses you need to buy and how to navigate the many manual controls, but if you're eager to get involved in serious photography, there may be no better place to start than here.
