Editors' Comments
Along with the Canon SD770 IS, the SD790 IS is a welcome addition to the brand's line of competent ultracompacts. The SD770 IS provides a 10-megapixel sensor with lens-shift image stabilization, at a lower price than the comparable SD890 IS (which is more expensive because of its longer zoom). The SD790 IS is roughly identical to the SD770 IS, except it has a larger LCD screen (3-inches, instead of 2.5-inches).
